Ecosystem

Kubernetes is the base of a large stack rather than a standalone tool. Container runtimes plug in through the CRI (containerd, CRI-O). Networking uses CNI plugins (Cilium, Calico). Storage uses CSI drivers. The scheduler is extended through framework plugins or extenders.
